COVID Advice

When you bought your tickets from The Southport Comedy Festival website you were advised to read about the COVID controls we may need to have in place.

As you are no doubt aware the Government lifted the majority of legal COVID-19 restrictions on Monday 19th July.

On Tuesday 30th November, because of concerns over the new Omicron variant of Covid-19, it was made a mandatory requirement for people to wear face coverings in shops and on public transport. It was further recommended that you should consider wearing face coverings in enclosed and busy places.

At this time the law does not require that face coverings need to be worn in entertainment venues. However, in the light of concerns over the new variant of Covid-19 we would encourage customers to wear face coverings whilst in the theatre if at all possible.  This is of course down to individual choice but we would kindly ask that you respect others by wearing a face covering and ensuring that social distancing is maintained wherever possible.

For the benefit of fellow audience members and theatre staff we would also kindly ask that you and your party take a lateral flow test before attending.

Please do not attend if you are suffering any Covid symptoms or have been advised to self-isolate.

We will continue to monitor the Government guidance for entertainment venues before Sunday’s event and if anything changes it may be necessary to take steps  to ensure compliance.
Thanks for supporting live entertainment in Southport.
